Provide a practical lecture on implementing and growing Facebook fan pages. Attendees will receive effective strategies, and applications, that will provide them with the tools and knowledge to run a successful campaign on their own. Session Includes:
- Writing good descriptions with search optimization in mind when users search for a service on Facebook.
- Architecture of a fan page – well thought out tabs on the Fan page.
- Custom Applications to provide a Fan page with richer content and design.
- Provide examples of standard fan pages vs. well built out custom fan pages.
- Strategies for launching a fan page when it is ready for the public.
Part two of this session will touch on the elements of growing and sustaining a fan page:
- Engagement on Facebook: What is it? And how do we measure it? Comments, mentions, increase in fan activity, etc.
- Educational Value: How it plays into providing users with content that will provide your users with pertinent valuable content. How does it tie in with any other content creation tools that your business is currently using.
- Entertainment value: How to stand out on someone’s feed and be “social” on Facebook”.
- Examples of mediocre engagement, as well as good examples of fan pages engaging with their fans through entertainment and educational value.
- Applications to sustain conversations such as RSS custom applications besides the usual “notes” application.
Part three of this session will involve growing your fan base:
- Running contests to increase your fan page views and or base. What third party applications are helpful, and how to use them.
- Facebook advertising campaigns: Create an effective ad to promote either a contest, or some unique selling proposition that will encourage users to become fans.
- Facebook metrics and analytics: Take a look at how to understand facebook insights and how to integrate google analytics with FBML static tabs for a more robust tracking of visits to your fan page.
